Reform announced in budget

As a major part of the 2011/2012 federal budget new tax measures have been proposed to attract additional private investment in nationally significant projects identified on Infrastructure Australia's National Priority List. The budget also increases funding for Infrastructure Australia by around 40% and strengthens its inde pendence while improving transparency in the national infrastructure market. New investment incentive measures are expected to encourage private and superannuation sector investment by removing impediments in the tax system.
