Priority on remote mining education

Curtin University's WA School of Mines has received a WA Mining Club donation to assist in the training of remote students in mining education. Mining club president Neil Watson said it was important formal mining education opportunities existed for remote students, and that these opportunities were not restricted by challenges such as distance to travel and the means and cost of this, the need for income support, living expenses during study and access to technology. Scholarships, student prizes and donations are methods the mining club uses to support the students of the mining industry.
