NBN Co applies new technology

In March NBN Co announced that it had signed a three-year contract with IT solutions company Geomatic Technolo gies to deliver a defect and maintenance management solution (DMS) for the NBN. Geomatics field mobile computing so lution (FMC) is being designed to enable NBN Cos auditors to trace, log and manage defects in the construction of the network's entire physical infrastructure and analyse the performance of construction contrac tors regarding instances of non-compliance.
