The Murrumbidgee River in NSW has recently undergone a $65 million transformation that has allowed State Water to improve the river's efficiency to the benefit of both the environment and local economies. The project, Computer Aided River Management (CARM), has automated the river's operation by improving infrastructure and installing data gathering equipment.
