Beaconsfield Substation project management recognised at Engineering Excellence Awards

TransGrid - the owner and operator of the high-voltage electricity transmission network in New South Wales - has taken out first prize in the Project Management Category at the 2013 Engineering Excellence Awards. The Beaconsfield Refurbishment was completed in November last year and represents the world's first major in-situ GIS substation replacement. It is also the largest 132kV GIS Substation in the southern hemisphere.
