How will you talk about engineering?

It's 4:30pm and I am sitting in a brown leather arm chair on the top floor of an office building in London in probably the largest personal office I have been in. Opposite me is a two-seater couch where the UK chairman of one of the biggest companies in the world sits. This was a place I never expected to be. My palms are sweaty, I am a nervous and curious of how my allocated 30 minute time slot will go. He opens with "so what do you want to get out of this meeting?" and we are away. We quickly find that we have something in common - we believe that engineers can change the world. And we are the best positioned profession to solve the planet's biggest problems of food, water and energy.
