The emergence of new technologies is an exciting prospect for all engineers, and the electrical building services industry is no exception. New energy efficient technologies, lighting designs and control systems are emerging with rapid pace, but the challenge for electrical building service designers is to keep abreast of the latest developments. In response, the Electrical College Board is hosting a one day National Electrical Building Services Symposium as part of Convention 2014 in November. Led by the theme 'Leading the change in electrical building services', the symposium will focus on the latest innovations in lighting, smart building, future proofing and business continuity. Engineers Australia consultant Anuja Rao - who will chair the symposium -said the event would allow engineers to hone their skills in building technology and broaden their horizons with new technologies.
