Having the courage to innovate

In Carmine Gallo's book The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs, he notes, "Innovation takes courage and few people have it". If we are to truly innovate, particularly to the degree for which Jobs was so famous, we must step away from the mob and be different. Belonging is a strong human emotion. For most people the need to fit in defines who they are. This human tendency when studied in groups is often called Group Think; simply stated this means most people simply won't be different if difference leads to other peoples disapproval.
