Convention 2014 reaches for the stars

As the time draws near for Convention 2014 that will feature all disciplines of engineering across six conferences, one keynote speaker, an outstanding role model for female engineers and male engineers alike, is set to be of much interest. Andrea Boyd, the only Australian working in the International Space Station (ISS) flight control team, is a mechatronic engineer who studied at the University of Adelaide as well as a year of robotics at Yeungnam University in South Korea. She is currently stationed at the European Astronaut Centre and the Columbus ISS Control Centre. The European Astronaut Centre works closely with astronauts from around the globe during their pre-flight years.
