摘要

A theoretical evaluation of cellular transmembrane potential is used to investigate the effect of dynamic high magnitude electric fields specific to the electrofusion process. A numerical computer model is designed for the purpose. Conventional DC impulse techniques for electrofusion are found to be less efficient than AC electric fields in both an electrical and a biological sense.
