Historic Bascule Bridge Receives Fascia Lift in Florida

After decades of decay, the historic Bridge of Lions in St. Augustine, Fla., is being restored to its former glory. Contractors working the $76.8-million project have completed a 1,600-ft-long temporary bridge and now are rehabilitating the 1,575-ft-long, 24-span original and its bascule section.
