With the industry mired in a deep recession, many are looking back on 2008 as the last chance they had to build up backlog to weather the storm. The ENR Top 600 Specialty Contractors garnered $87.02 billion in revenue last year, up from 2007's revenue of $77.01 billion, an increase of 13,0%. However, this spike is somewhat misleading as giants Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services at $1.62 billion, and APi Group at $1.40 billion, joined the list for the first time.
