I have been involved with the design and construction of tunneling projects for more than 40 years and lots of people in the tunneling industry seem to be more anxious for the following reasons:Fear. "Risk" assessment has become big business and it is easy to scare the hell out of yourself when you go to great lengths to document every conceivable scenario that might go wrong on a tunneling project.
