The soon-to-be-completed Justice Banning Center in Banning, Calif., is a culmination of more than five years of planning and design to replace the current Banning Courthouse and enable the court to improve access and security. The six-courtroom, 68,000-sq-ft facility is a Division of State Architect (DSA) permitted project. It has structural concrete walls, steel beams and concrete slabs on metal decks, and the various trades had to coordinate carefully during construction to ensure a precise interface of beams to walls.
