Digital Collaboration Supports One of the Fastest Hospital Builds in U.S.

Mortenson Construction was tasked with building the 831,000-sq-ft Saint Joseph Hospital replacement facility in Denver in 30 months-one of the fastest hospital builds in the U.S. Leveraging digital project communication was critical to the team's ability to open the new hospital doors by the end of 2014. Mortenson embraced technology to streamline review processes. They held meetings projecting 3D models of plans and allowed designers, general contractors and trade partners to mark the PDFs of models up at the same time in a cloud-based environment using Bluebeam Revu. People on the jobsite participated, as did people in offices 20 miles away.
