As we prepare for the 2020 storm season, let us review the events of 2019 and predictions for this upcoming season. Last year, we experienced 18 named storms, six of which became hurricanes and three of which became major storms (Category 3 or higher). According to the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, the outlook for 2020 is another above-average storm season, potentially making this the fifth straight season with above-average storm activity.
