Energy Visions

If all energy visions were based on science, or even a modicum of reason, I'd probably be unemployed. Some visions, as we know, are merely mental images produced by the imagination, including mystical experiences and, thus, are not really grounded in reality. During the pendency of preparation of this quarter's energy, visions from the energy soothsayers abounded as usual. Here's a few examples, in no particular order. First, we have the efficiency visionaries, howling of course at this moment as the Federal Budget hits Capitol Hill. With the war, deficit, many energy programs are being cut. Some of the cuts are to programs such as low income weatherization, which maybe is better classified as just good social policy that happens to involve energy.
