摘要

In this paper, the analysis and design of an indirect sliding mode controller for a single-phase boost rectifier power factor correction (PFC) converter is presented. The proposed method which is obtained based on the state space averaging approach, is employed to control the switching operation of the converter using the Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM) technique. Due to the high frequency switching of the converter, the voltage and the current control systems are separated and a cascade control scheme is applied. The controller has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink and its dynamic performance has been shown to be satisfactory. A prototype circuit was also built and tested in laboratory and the experimental results verify the theoretical analysis.
