Canadian electricity exports to the United States for September jumped to just over 4 044 gigawatt hours, up considerably from the 3 747 gigawatt hours in 2007, according to the latest National Energy Board (NEB) data.rnFor the first nine months, electricity transmission to the U.S. reached 45 006 gigawatt hours compared to 38 797 gigawatt hours last year.rnNEB data showed revenues from power exports for the nine months were just over S3.12 billion versus $2.46 billion in 2007.rnAverage export prices for the nine months were $65.13 and about $60.34 per megawatt hour for this year and in 2007 respectively.
