For the second straight month, Canadian electricity exports to the United States for December 2008 declined compared to the previous year, according to National Energy Board (NEB) data.rnBut, for the 12 months last year, electricity transmission to the U.S. reached 52 402 gigawatt hours - well above the 46 275 gigawatt hours in 2007.rnNEB data showed revenues from power exports for December and all of 2008 were $221.47 million and just under $3.79 billion respectively.rnRevenue for the last month of 2007 was a slightly higher $263.53 million, while the year-end total at about $3.1 billion was down from the 2008 value.
