Monthly Sales Dip To Residential, Commercial Sectors

Domestic natural gas sales for November 2008 declined in two of the three major sectors as the overall total fell to just under 6.57 billion cubic metres, down 2.5% compared to 6.73 billion cubic metres in the previous year, Statistics Canada reports.rnFor the 11 months last year, StatsCan data showed sales were up for all three sectors versus last year, but just barely for residential, as the overall total was up by 2.3% to just under 67.81 billion cubic metres compared to about 66.27 billion cubic metres in 2007.rnOnly sales to the industrial sector, including direct transactions, showed an increase for November as the volume climbed to just over 3.73 billion cubic metres, up 2.9% from about 3.63 billion cubic metres in the previous year.
