Lattelecom, a state-backed telecoms company, is eyeing coveragenexpansion of its fibre-optic broadband access (FTTx) network tonreach 484,000 households throughout Latvia by the end of 2013.nThe figure symbolises 58% of all homes across the country. Thennetwork increase has so far had a footprint of 8,000 households,nmainly in Riga and Kurzeme. Lattelecom unveiled that it wants tonreach 75% fibre coverage 'in the coming years'.
