Russia’s leading premium vodka company Russian Standard nVodka (RSV) has made an entry into the wine sector after reaching nan agreement to acquire Italian wine frm Gancia. There is certainly nroom for growth in the Russian wine industry, where wine volume nsales are forecast to grow at a compound annual rate of 3.4% to 2016. nValue sales are likely to grow at a much quicker rate, with premiumi-nsation a major driver of growth. It is believed that effective January n2012, RSV will distribute a range of Gancia’s products in Russia.
