Kraftwerk Schwarze Pumpe: Die neue Generation von Braunkohlekraftwerken

Veag's corporate strategy calls for a reorganization of its power plant fleet to meet the demands of its electricity supply contract. In addition to the back-fitting and upgrading of existing lignite-fired power plants, a modern lignite-fired cogeneration district heating plant is under construction at Schwarze Pumpe, roughly 60 km northeast of Dresden in the Niederlausitz lignite producing region, as a replacement for several existing plants. At 800 MW each, the plant's two blocks are currently the largest of their kind in the world. Construction and commissioning were of dimensions second to none. The special logistics required for managing the shipments of materials and the coordination of construction work represented a major challenger to the supplier and plant operator.%Gemäß Stromvertrag sieht das Unternehmenskonzept der Veag eine Neuordnung des Kraftwerkparks vor. Neben Nachrüstung und Ertüchtigung von bestehenden Braunkohlekraftwerken wird u.a. im Niederlausitzer Braunkohlegebiet am Standort Schwarze Pumpe - rd. 60 km nordöstlich von Dresden - ein modernes Braunkohle-Heizkraftwerk als Ersatz für mehrere Altanlagen errichtet. Die beiden Blöcke dieser Anlage sind z.Z. mit je 800 MW die größten der Welt. Die Errichtung und die Inbetriebnahme haben bisher bekannte Dimensionen gesprengt. Die besondere Logistik zur Bewältigung der Materialtransporte und die Koordinierung der Bauarbeiten waren für Hersteller und Betreiber eine große Herausforderung.
