摘要

A four-element array of printed directive dipoles loaded with complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) is proposed for triple-band applications. The triple-band response in the array is attributed to the reference dipole mode, one CSRR-induced lower-frequency resonance and one higher order resonance obtained due to the interaction of the feed-network comprising of broad-side coupled coplanar striplines. A simplified equivalent circuit model is further developed to provide insight to the operating principle of the proposed triple band array. Stable fan-beam radiation pattern and high realised gain is observed at all the working bands. The results of measurement on a fabricated prototype validate the proposed design methodology.
