Seven factors for adding RF to a product design can be accomplished using three solution categories: in-house design using chipsets, integration of a PC Card-based wireless solution, and the integration of a third-party wireless data module. An engineer contemplating wireless must judge each of the seven factors to find the set of features optimal for a specific design implementation.
