Constructed with strontium aluminate, a naturally photoluminescent material dubbed Chroma Glow from Chroma Corp. (McHenry, IL) can maintain its glow for up to 32 hours and recharges when exposed to light. Recently introduced for rotational-molding products suiting indoor and outdoor applications, the material comes in the form of mini-pellets that can be injected directly into a mold to make plastics for keypads and buttons for electronic devices.
