Meeting tastes new MEMS vintages

Those who attend the MEMS Executive Congress next month (Nov. 4, 5, and 6) at the Lodge at Sonoma in Sonoma, CA, will get a taste of the latest MEMS devices for a broad range of applications - from video games to drug delivery systems. Kicking off the event, which is sponsored by the MEMS Industry Group (MIG), will be keynote speakers Mauro Ferrari and Shoi-chi Narahashi. Known as "the father of BioMEMS," Ferrari is a professor and chairman of the Department of NanoMedicine and Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, while Narahashi is an executive research engineer at Japan's premierrnmobile communications company, NTT DOCOMO.
