PLD family offers 100x static-power reduction

The MachXO2 PLD family is said to provide a 3X increase in logic density, a 10X increase in memory size, more than a 100X reduction in static power, and up to 30% lower cost compared to the previous generation. The ICs in- clude hardened blocks for user flash memory, I~2C, SPI, and timer/counter functions.rnThe devices provide 256 to 7,000 LUTs, take only 19 to 230 uW of static power, havernpower sequencing, and come in packages as small as 2.5 × 2.5 mm. The PLDs come in EZ, HC, and HE versions with 1.2 to 3.3-V power supplies and up to 335 user I/O and feature instant-on, nonvolatile operation with up to 150-MHz speed.
