Compact package equalizes bridge rectifiers in power applications

Bourns Inc. has released five new bridge recti-' fiers for switch-mode power supply (SMPS) applications, and these devices come in an ultra-low size package of 1.0 ×1.4 mm, making them highly suitable devices for use in high-density board designs. Furthermore, the package can be mounted onto the bottom side of PCB assembly when necessary. The availability of bridge rectifiers in a compact package allows designers to meet high-efficiency energy requirements while avoiding the need to specify larger diodes for higher-current applications.
