The apparatus has series circuit that consists of inductor (1), capacitor (2), and alternating current (AC) input of bridge rectifier (3). The capacitor and inductor forms resonant circuit at frequency of applied AC voltage. A constant direct current (DC) power is applied to direct current load (6) and AC inputs of bridge rectifier so that rectangular voltage (U3) is formed and rectified via bridge rectifier so as to create good smoothed DC voltage (U2). The AC input current (I1) has sinusoidal time course with low harmonic content and low mains to power grid.
