A dramatically shrinking labor pool, coupled with the growing need for employees to learn additional career path skills in technology, engineering and "soft skills" are redefining the way electronics manufacturers recruit, train and retain their employees. As the new millennium unfolds, employees will require new skill sets unique to the electronics manufacturing industry. And for companies to retain these elusive, quality employees who also require a substantial financial investment to train, creative methods will be needed to entice them to stay.
