More than 5,000 engineers worldwide have answered the call to rebuild Iraq, posting resumes and filling out profiles on the EPCjobs. com Web site in hopes of landing an assignment with one of the infrastructure projects planned for the war-torn nation. London-based engineering- and construction-staffing firm EPCglobal posted the online call two weeks ago "to mobilize engineering and construction professionals to join the recovery operation" in Iraq. Among those who registered were engineers from the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Asia and Eastern Europe.
