摘要

General ageing of the basic infrastructure is occurring in the electric networks of the Russian Federation. Wear of the main electrical equipment amounts to approximately 40%, including 60% in the substations. More than 10% of the transformers, 6% of reactors and 29% of circuit-breakers have reached the end of their normal life. The development of systems for transmitting and distributing electric power is closely related to the development of generating facilities. However, the equipment in the generating part of a power system requires more frequent renewal. In the majority of the developed countries electric networks have infrastructures which have been in operation for more than 70 years. The process of replacing ageing equipment involves developing better apparatus based on more-advanced designs and technological solutions. The same applies to newly commissioned systems in electric networks.
