Reliance launches greenfield power project in Haryana

The first phase of the greenfield power project set up by Reliance Energy in Haryana was inaugurated Thursday by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The first phase of the 600-megawatt Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Project was completed in a record time of 27-months. In the first phase it will generate about 300-mw electricity. The commissioning of the first phase also coincided with the day when the Haryana state was created nearly four decades ago, Nov 1,1966. The project will be one of the lowest cost power projects in the country, maintaining highest standards of quality.
