At present, while the average power demand of the State is about 3500 MW, only 2700 MW is available leaving a huge gap of 800 MW. Power shortage has seriously damaged industrial production, agricultural operation and domestic needs. Further, the upcoming industries will require huge amount of power. So the upcoming power plants should speed up its construction activities.
