The demand for data centre capacity is increasing along with the internal demands placed upon it. However, with increased capacity comes greater issues including data storage capacity, installation speed and the age-old dilemma of cable management. The role of cable management has traditionally been to ensure electrical wiring in a building was safely contained. However, networks, fibre optic capabilities and the need for greater storage have meant that cabling needs to form an IT network that must protect data and provide sufficient performance. Speed is crucial to any data centre. From initial installation through to supporting the network usage, each element needs to be taken into consideration and the quicker the infrastructure is up and running the better.
