INDUSTRY WATCH LEED Certification for Existing Buildings Available

The leadership in energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED EB) rating system is now a reality. LEED is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Standards have been developed or are under development for the following: 1. New commercial construction and major renovation projects (LEED-NC) 2. Commercial interiors projects (LEED-CI) 3. Core and shell projects (LEED-CS) 4. Homes (LEED-H) 5. Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND)
