ELECTRI International Research Investigates COVID-19 Impact on Productivity

When businesses closed and the economy ground to a halt in March due to COVID-19, ELECTRI acted quickly to initiate a study to investigate the impact on electrical construction and the eventual change orders contractors would face. This study, Pandemics and Construction Productivity: Quantifying the Impact, has proven integral in determining the impact of COVID-19 on cost and schedule and in developing a defensible approach to pricing impacts. As the organization that funds, conducts, coordinates and monitors the EC industry's most critical research, ELECTRI International was the perfect fit to commission this project. Founded in 1989 by NECA, ELECTRI helps contractors meet the demands and challenges of the job with useful research recommendations and educational programs.
