Networking practitioner research: the effective use of networks in educational research

Whilst this book advocates teacher practitioner research conducted by schools and networks of schools as capable of making 'a real difference to the quality of schooling' (p. 215), Colleen McLaughlin et al. are clear from the outset that it is not 'an evangelical book, aimed at converting readers to a new truth that will save us all' (p. 1). It is a critical book that informs readers about existing research networks, the usefulness of such an approach and the conditions necessary for its success.
