Your article on Britain's looming electricity crisis touched only briefly on the benefits that stemming the demand for energy could have in preventing the lights from going out ("Dark days ahead", August 8th). Governments must be proactive in demand management. One solution that helps is dynamic pricing, which reduces peak electricity demand by signalling to customers the change in power prices over the course of a day.
