Islamic finance has won increasing attention in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries in the past decade. From its small beginnings in the 1970s, the industry has expanded rapidly.The industry's financial assets worldwide are worth about US$ I trillion, according to estimates from CPI Financial, publisher of Islamic Business & Finance magazine. And the growth looks set to continue. By some forecasts, the industry's assets are on track to double over the next five years.
