1. The global recovery has remained uneven in recent months, with growth in the main emerging market countries significantly outpacing that seen in the main industrialised countries. 2. Most strikingly, import volumes in the emerging economies were rising at over 20% per annum at the start of 2010, while in the advanced economies they remained barely higher than a year before.
