Japan's economy continued to show signs of recovery in May and June from the disastrous earthquake and tsunami that hit the country in March. Industrial output rose 6% in May and a further large rise looks likely for June with manufacturers forecasting production will rise 5%. Export data for the first 20 days of June and the output component of the June manufacturing PMI also point to a strong month.
