1. 2007 was yet another volatile year for LPG freight rates. The Baltic LPG index (BLPGI) for Vlgcs AG-Japan averaged $37.16/mt but rates ranged from a record low of $19.36/mt in early February to a very respectable high of $58.64/mt in mid August. The average rate was 22.2% lower than the 2006 average of $47.77/mt and for owners earnings were even harder hit by higher bunker prices.
