According to recently-revealed FY2019 LPG imports of Japanese LPG supply companies, ENEOS GLOBE’s imports in the fiscal year ended March 2020 reached 3.162 million mt, up by 15.9% from a year earlier, having ranked the biggest importing company among them for the first time in nine years since FY2010 when the company was founded. Meanwhile, the former top importer Astomos Energy, which had kept No. 1 position in recent years, imported just 2.881 million mt, down by 6.9% year on year. The third-largest importer was GYXIS, the same as last year, which imported 1.773 million mt, up by 9.3% year on year. Top four companies’ imports including Japan Gas Energy amounted to 9.045 million mt, accounting for 84.4% of the total.
