Some crafts that are rich in tradition manage to keep up with the times. Lace making is one such example.rn"Lace in translation" at the Design Center of the University of Philadelphia (until 3 April 2010) offers proof of this through the work of three designers and contemporary artists: Tord Boontje and Studio Demakersvan of The Netherlands and Canadian Cal Lane.
