With over a year still to go before its inauguration - set for autumn 2011 - the Enzo Ferrari Museum has already launched its communications initiative on the building site. A special logo has been created in anticipation of the installation of the yellow roof (towards the summer), which will be shaped like the bonnet of a racing car and constitute the main feature of the museum designed by Jan Kaplicky of Future Systems. At the entrance to the building site, passers-by can also stop and take at look at the large LED panel displaying various images of the project. Even the foundation stone, laid on 20 April 2009, is not a conventional stone but a block of polished aluminium that will be on show to the public after completion of the works. Following the sudden death of the UK-based architect, works are being supervised by one of his most trusted assistants, Andrea Morgante of Shiro Studio, the ex-associate director of Future Systems. If all goes as planned, by autumn 2011 Modena will have a new symbol and is already expecting to attract an extra 200,000 tourists per year.%Manca ancora più di anno alla sua inaugurazione - prevista per l'autunno 2011 -, ma il nuovo Museo Enzo Ferrari ha già avviato dal cantiere la sua opera di comunicazione sul territorio. In attesa di vedere spuntare (verso l'estate) la copertura gialla sagomata come il cofano di una vettura da corsa che è il segno distintivo del complesso museale progettato da Jan Kaplicky di Future Systems, è stato creato un togo apposito. All'ingresso del cantiere, poi, i passanti possono fermarsi a osservare un grande cartellone a led che mostra diverse immagini del progetto. Anche la prima pietra, posata lo scorso 20 aprile, non è una pietra convenzionale, ma un blocco di alluminio lucido che, atta fine dei lavori, sarà esposto al pubblico. Dopo la scomparsa improvvisa del progettista britannico, i lavori sono seguiti da uno dei suoi più fedeli assistenti, Andrea Morgante con il suo Shiro Studio, ex direttore associato di Future, e dovrebbero concludersi nell'autunno del 2011. Per quella data, Modena avrà un nuovo simbolo da mostrare e, si prevede, 200.000 turisti in più in città ogni anno.
