Le mostre personali possono costituire occasioni preziose di approfondimento. È il caso della retrospettiva che il mart di Rovereto dedica a Gina Pane, artista nota per le potenti azioni degli anni Settanta. Ricostruendo il suo percorso dalle opere plastiche degli esordi alle azioni, fino alle sculture degli ultimi anni, la mostra consente infatti di guardare al suo lavoro in prospettiva. By reconstructing her development from the early sculptural pieces to the actions and subsequent sculptures, the show puts her work into perspective and displays the artist's careful focus on the language of her work, from the geometric paintings and early Structures affirmees, rarely seen today, to the installations, the photographic records "displaying" her actions and the painstakingly refined forms of the later years. Effective communication was a constant concern for Gina Pane although she never resorted to seductive strategies. Above all, the exhibition highlights her spiritual inspiration and fascination with things sacred, which stimulated Gina Pane throughout her artistic career.
