Analog Blast: Domus Fuorisalone

On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2013, Domus paid tribute to the last two decades of design and architecture with the exhibition "Analog Blast. Design through the Lens of Ramak Fazel". Between 1994 and 2009, working primarily with Domus magazine, Ramak Fazel amassed an archive of tens of thousands of photographs, almost all shot on an analog medium-format camera. There are the great Maestri-Munari, Sottsass, Mari, Mendini, Magistretti, Zanuso and others-but also countless artigiani (the unsung heroes of Italian design), studio assistants, entrepreneurs, artists, technicians, friends and passers-by. He calls this archive the Milan Unit.
